Our First Term at Brockhurst!

Bagheera fell behind on updating again, but here's a roundup of how our first term at Fort Brockhurst has gone! Let's take a look, starting with the younger sections.

There was practicing of applying bandages, making sun catchers for Lunar New Year, teamwork, campfire and being creative. Look at the fun we had!

The Squirrels and Beavers got so much crammed into their meetings, but what about the Cubs and Scouts?

After their camp, there was loads to cover including emergency aid, navigation skills and hike preparations, litter picking with volunteers from English Heritage and had a Victorian Royal Marines training session. The Scouts also had their cooking competition in which they came !

How much did we get done in our meetings! That doesn't include the Mud Run at Ferny Crofts which some of our group took part in and had a great time!

And finally, there was our end of term Easter fun and games! There was colouring, an egg hunt and to end the term, badge presentations, investitures and awards!

We invested Mason, Leander, Alex, Evan, William and River into the Beavers, Jacob and Milton into the Cubs and Baloo as a Cub Leader.

Everyone was awarded the badges they'd earned over the term with a special mention to Poppy in the Beavers. She has again completed all the available activity badges for her section, all her challenge badges, the YouShape award and her Chief Scout Bronze award!

Millie stepped forward to receive her certificate as part of the team that participated in the cooking competition. The rest of her team were unavailable for our end of term meeting.

There were also awards for some of our volunteers with Skip receiving her Five Years' Service and Bagheera her Fifteen Years' Service awards.
